North Carolina Voter Suppression

Open letter to Rev. William Barber who leads the Moral Monday movement in NC:

"Good to see you with Jonathan Capehart on ‪#‎MSNBC‬'s Up With Steve kornacki (Sat. July 12, 2014). I support your efforts. I have family in the Carolinas, and so I know how the Greed Oppression Piety party is desperately trying to destroy voting rights as well as civil rights for people of color.

It is my aim as a writer and radio personality to help reverse that repugnant policy and bring our country to face the truth: we are and have always been a melting pot. The polarization instigated by a small group of evil people needs to end if we are to survive as a nation, or even as a civilization.

Keep up the good fight as you have allies in the intelligentsia and in progressive minded people everywhere.

We need to unite, unite blue, and bring America back from the brink. United we stand, divided we fall. As trite as that may sound to conservatives, it's the absolute truth."

Sarah Failin' Needs To Go To Mars...Please.

I don't know how anyone with ears not blown out by sitting right on Megadeth's amps could stand Sarah Palin's shrill shill voice. Bad enough she's a racist who says the most ignorant things ever uttered by anyone with more than a double digit IQ and being 7 cans short of a 6 pack, but wow...listening to her for even 10 seconds is literally painful...like amplified fingernails on chalkboard painful.

I think repugnicans themselves only listen because they envision themselves with their industrial penis pumps and bottles of Viagra hoping to get those tiny, rubbery worms which are all that's left of their Johnsons into her somehow.

I imagine her getting abducted by aliens and them saying to themselves, "we have nothing to worry about from humans if they're like this one...it's about as bright as tree bark."

God(dess) help us all if America keeps putting up with her/it's vile behavior much longer.

The Border Children Are Our Children

It's about time we remove the bone up our asses as a nation and let the children who are victims of violence, sex trafficking, and slave trafficking become part of us. They are refugees. It's about time we dust off that "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses." 

This isn't China crowded by over a billion, or India with their billion or so. 

We are a vast nation, a melting pot of all kinds of colors, creeds, beliefs, ideas. We have the space, we just have to develop the will and stop seeing people as "others." They are our sisters and brothers.

"For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home." 

Hmmm, I wonder who said this...?

Learning From History Instead Of Trying To Rewrite It.

The folks butthurt about children coming over the border escaping violence and trafficking, which is a huge business in this country, by the way, can blame both themselves and electing idiots in Congress who refuse to do anything to solve problems. 

It's always the folks with too much time on their hands who complain about a perceived problem (which is not really a problem to them personally), yet do nothing but suggest violence as a solution to problems. 

These same turd buckets complain about Palestinians who think air strikes by a well funded Israeli military regime will solve the "Palestinian problem." 

Kind of reminds me of the same folks who decided to do something about a "race problem" in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. 11 Million people, including 6 million Jews and 5 million others of various races and ethnicity were wiped out. 

Or how about America, in which millions upon millions of Native Americans were "removed" from this universe so the White race could once again reign supreme? 

It would be nice if we'd actually learn from history, rather than attempt to rewrite it.

In conclusion, rather than blame the president for doing his job and following the law written before he took office, we should as a nation try to help people rather than shout at them for being victims.  Right, Rick Perry?  Right, Greed Oppression Piety party?

This skewed sense of entitlement is why our nation is so divided, and guess what, people...that's what makes the 1% and the banksters salivate....people with very little fighting against other people with very little. That way, we're all distracted while they burn everything around us and take our money doing it.

Hating Immigrants = Hating Yourself.

My response to the Anti-Immigrant (a.k.a. racists) in Murietta, CA who consider the kids crossing the border criminals:

"So kids being abused, murdered, trafficked are felons now? I must have missed that memo.

The problem with this country is that it's forgotten how it was formed. Unless you are a Native American, or what people used to call Indians or First Nation people, you're either an immigrant or a descendant of one.

This collective sense of entitlement and selfishness is what will be the destruction of our country. Exactly what the Tea Party, a.k.a. the Neo-Nazis want.

The fact of the matter is, the white race by 2050 will be the minority...maybe that's the fear that's driving the schism. Fear is an illusion...don't buy into it. Embrace the fact that America is a melting pot and no one race or creed or religion or what group one belongs to matters any more."

So, in summation, if you have a problem with immigrants...you're basically telling the world you have a problem with yourself. Get off it.
