Since
we've now discovered the particle that assigns mass, beings a few
decades or even centuries ahead of us may actually have discovered how
to manipulate the Higgs Field and the Higgs Boson itself, allowing for
FTL travel at relativistic speeds generating gravity at will,
controlling inertia, thus preventing g-force damage to themselves while
traveling at impossible speeds and angles.
Faith is
part of science since not everything we know exists can be seen with
the limitations of the eyes or the other 4 mundane senses, let alone the
"other" less mundane senses. That said, I have faith that science will
finally come to terms with two subjects which have eluded them,
sometimes intentionally through skepticism: divinity in the form of love
and the idea that the universe is actually teaming with life, some of
it intelligent, some of it having relationships with this world.
I may
not see it my lifetime, but there will be a consensus about those two
elusive concepts in the realm of science, thus finally fusing physics
and metaphysics.
