Why Progressives Need to STFU About 2016

I'm gonna say this just once, not that anybody listens to anything I say and takes it seriously anyway...if you want to change the status quo today, stop talking about 2016. It's 2 goddamn years away.

If you want to change the status quo, to maybe make a dent in the vast inequality that exists in this country, worry about TODAY. Take a stand in November 2014. That's THIS YEAR.

2016 doesn't exist. 

Procrastination is great if you want to keep shit the way it is. If you want to live in a better world, do something TODAY.

You could maybe run for office or help someone you believe in run for office. Help your community. Depend on no one but you doing something to change your world, even if it's to take a stand against a bully in your neighborhood or school or whatever.
