Drought caused by climate change, which in turn was caused by polluters,
poverty as a result of drought and greed...these are the things that
create extremism. Despite the whining from the Wrong Wing, the United
States cannot afford to nor should it bomb its way into the hearts and
minds of the Middle East. The military industrial complex that
Eisenhower warned us about doesn't think we need to do anything but bomb
the hell out of anybody who doesn't see eye to eye with us.
Doesn't
that tell you something?
It's like this country cannot seem to do
anything without the military. Just check the budget: over half is
dedicated to the military! A tiny, tiny portion goes to protecting and
paying the soldiers...the rest is for management and materiel. Guess
who the Oil Companies' biggest customer is? Well, it sure ain't Joe
Public driving his SUV down 2 blocks to get his fuckin' Latte.
I just
want to know one thing...how many of our soldiers need to die before we
decide to stop blowing people up and try something different? 4,000,
40,000, 400,0000, 4 million?
